PENNY BLACK SATURDAY CHALLENGE - WEEK 68


And my second card for today is for Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Week 68, a colour Challenge - "Chocolate.... Lemon & Pink". I have used a Penny Black stamp, which I got from a Bargain bucket at Ally Pally, and this is called Baby Hammock. I have been eyeing this stamp for a while now, and could not believe my luck when I saw it in the Bargain Bucket for half the price! The image has been coloured with Sakura Gel pens, and the cut with a round nesty, and layered on pink and yellow card. The backing papers are from a Basic Grey paper pad called Two Scoops. The card has been finished off with a stamped sentiment, a paper flower with a flower brad, some ribbon and a few tiny brown buttons - all from my craft stash! THE SUGAR BOWL CHALLENGE NO. 20




Hello everyone, half way through the week, and starting the downhill run to the weekend! Two posts today, and my first card is for The Sugar Bowl Challenge No. 20 - a wonderful Sketch from Gayle, with the inclusion of "Paper Piecing". I have used one of my fav stamps from Sugar Nellie's Gorjuss Girl Collection, and she is called "Bumble Bee". The dress has been stamped onto some paper from a Crafty Individuals 6x6 paper pad called Springtime, cut out and layered onto the image with foam pads. The little hearts on the dress have been covered with tiny pink gems. The image has been cut to size, and layered on pink, lilac and yellow card. The backing paper is from the same Crafty Individuals paper pad. The card has been finished off with a stamped sentiment, pink jute ribbon, with lilac ribbon threaded through the centre, paper flowers with pearl brads, and some Dew Drops - all from my craft stash.

FRIDAY SKETCHERS CHALLENGE NO. 71




My second card is for Friday Sketchers Challenge No. 71 a Sketch by Jeanette with an extra option of "Distressing". I have used a cute little stamp from Lili of the Valley called Christmas Angel Standing, and she has been coloured with Twinkling H2O's and Sakura Gel Pens. The image has been trimmed to size and layered on blue and dusty rose card. The backing papers are from a new Basic Grey paper pad called Eskimo Kisses. All the edges of the papers have been distressed with a Tim Holtz Distressing Tool. The card has been finished off with a stamped sentiment, strip of white ribbon and a paper flower with spacer and pearl brad, and a few Dew Drops - all from my craft stash. DARING CARDMAKERS - TARTAN IT UP


Hi everyone, hope all is well in Blogland, and you are enjoying your week so far! I have two posts today, and my first card is for Daring Cardmakers Challenge - Tartan it up! - use some sort of Tartan on your cards! I have used a stamp from Joanna Sheen's Lofty & Co. Collection which is perfect for this Challenge, and this stamp is called "Scottish Lofty", and he has been coloured with a combo of Art-Kure WC Brushes and Sakura Gel Pens. The image has been cut with a round nesty, and layered on black card. A piece of white pearlescent card has been run through a Cuttlebug "Swiss Dots" Embossing Folder for the top half of the card. The backing paper is a red tartan from Kameo Cards, and to finish the card off - a stamped sentiment, a strip of black tartan ribbon and some little black buttons - all from my craft stash.

VC STAMP CHALLENGE NO. 18


And my final card for today is for VC Stamp Challenge No. 18 - a colour challenge "Black-Purple-Green". I have used a Victoria Case stamp from the Hearts and Hugs Collection 2, available from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design, and this adorable little girl is called "Susy", and she has been coloured with Sakura Gel Pens. I never get bored using Sakura Gel Pens because they always have a lovely shimmer, and I love this effect on my cards. The image has been cut to size, and layered on purple, green and black card. The backing papers are from a Basic Grey paper pad called Eva, and to finish the card off - a stamped sentiment, purple organza ribbon and paper flowers with gem brads - all from my endless craft stash! COLOUR CREATE CHALLENGE NO. 28


My second card is for Colour Create Challenge No. 28 - Hot Pink, Dusty Pink, Ice Chocolate, with an optional extra of "Pearls and Swirls". I have used a stamp from Sugar Nellie's Autumn 2009 Collection, and she has been coloured with a combo of Sakura Gel Pens, and Twinkling H2O's. The image has been cut to size, and the edges have been distressed with a brown chalk eye ink pad, and stamped again with a "Swirls" stamp. The image has been layered on pink and brown card. The backing papers are from a Basic Grey paper pad called Bittersweet, and another piece of pink card run through a Cuttlebug "Swirls" Embossing Folder. The card has been finished off with a stamped sentiment, brown ribbon and pink pearls, all from my craft stash.

CUTE CARD THURSDAY CHALLENGE NO. 79


Hi everyone, hope you are all well, and have had a lovely weekend! I have three posts today, so will start off straight away with a card for Cute Card Thursday Challenge No. 79 - "Buzz Off!" - a colour combo of Black & Yellow. I have used a stamp from Victoria Case Heart and Hugs Collection 2 available from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design, and this cutie is called Taylor, and she has been coloured with Sakura Gel Pens. The image has been trimmed down and layered on yellow and black card. The backing paper is from a Basic Grey paper pad called Granola. A strip of yellow card has been run through a Martha Stewart "zigzag" punch. The card has been finished off with a stamped sentiment, some black ribbon, a paper flower with a black Dew Drop, and some yellow Dew Drops down the side - all of which are from my craft stash.

And my final card for today is for Inky Impressions Challenge No. 16 - Use 4 Embellishments! Wow this was hard, not as easy as it sounds! I used an Inky Impressions stamp called Lili's Prayer, and she has been coloured with a combo of Art-Kure WC Brushes, and Sakura Gel Pens. The image has been cut with an oval nesty, and layered on pink card. The backing papers are from a Basic Grey paper pad called Two Scoops, and to finish the card off a stamped stentiment, and four embellishments made up of one paper flower, and three pink Dew Drops - all from my craft stash. A SPOON FULL OF SUGAR CHALLENGE NO. 70




Hi everyone, hope you are all well. I am so excited today, as I am off to Ally Pally. Hopefully I will come home with lots of exciting goodies. So two very quick posts from my this morning, and the first card is for A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge No. 70 - a Sketch by Nikki. I have used a stamp from the Victoria Case Heart and Hugs Collection 2, available from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design, and this little boy is called "Matthew", and he has been coloured with a combo of Art-Kure WC Brushes and Sakura Gel Pens. ANYONE FOR ANYA CHALLENGE NO. 5


And my second card today is for Anyone for Anya Challenge No. 5 - "Funky Flowers" - see something flowery on your cards. I have used one of the stamps from The Greeting Farm "Miss Anya Dressy" Collection, and she has been coloured with Sakura Gel Pens. The image has been cut with a round nesty, and layered on pink and pale yellow card. The backing papers are from a Basic Grey paper pad called Porcelain. I made my "funky flowers" using about 5cm of satin ribbon, and loosely stitched along the bottom of one side of the ribbon, then pulled the stitching together to form a gather, and then stitched the two short sides together. The flowers were finished off with a spacer and pearl brad, and then positioned on top of a slightly bigger paper flower. CUTIE SUNDAY CHALLENGE NO. 60




Hi everyone, hope you are all well. Firstly I would like to say a BIG "THANK YOU" to all my blogging buddies who wished me a Happy Birthday yesterday! I had a lovely day, and got lots of lovely goodies and cards. I had all good intentions of spending a good few hours blog hopping around, and suddenly I had NO internet! That was out for the rest of the day but now it's back, so hopefully I can get a bit done today! So, down to business.... My first card for today is for Cutie Sunday Challenge No. 60 - a Sketch. I have used a stamp from Joanna Sheen's Lofty & Co. Collection called "Driving Test Lofty", and this has been coloured with Sakura Gel Pens. The image has been cut with an Oval nesty, and layered on Blue card. The backing paper is from a Basic Grey paper pad called Granola. I chose this paper because I thought the pattern looked like "tyre tracks". The card has been finished off with a stamped sentiment cut with a Tag nesty, some cream ribbon, and some buttons from my craft stash.

TRULY SCRUMPTIOUS CHALLENGE NO. 16




Phew, and my final card for today is for Truly Scrumptious Challenge No. 16, a wonderful Sketch from Heather. There was an extra challenge "Use a MINIMUM of 3 stamps", but silly me only read this after I had made the card..... note to self.... "read instructions before putting together"! I have used one of the new stamps from Joanna Sheens Messy Rabbit Collection, and this is called "Messy Angel", and he has been coloured with Sakura Gel Pens. My next card is for Whiff of Joy Challenge No 48, a Sketch from Heather. This was quiet a "Challenge" with all the layers, but I got there in the end! I have used a stamp from Whiff of Joy called Fred Celebrating Elephant, and has been coloured with Sakura Gel Pens. The image has been cut with a Labels Nesty, and layered on Pink card. The backing papers are from a Basic Grey paper pad called Sultry, but most of these layers were made up from scraps I had lying around. The card has been finished off with a stamped sentiment, paper flowers with pearl brads, a pink button and some little pink gems - all from my bottomless supply of craft stash!

My second card is for Stampavie and More Challenge No. 61 - "Think Pink". I have used one of the new stamps from Sarah Kay called Noel Joy, and she has been coloured with Sakura Gel Pens. All the "fur" has been covered with Liquid Applique and fluffed up for added texture. The image has been cut with an oval nesty and layered on silver and pink card. The backing paper was a scrap left of from last year, and I think it is from My Minds Eye. The card has been finished off with a stamped sentiment, pink organza ribbon, a snowflake charm with a pink gem fixed in the centre, some self-adhesive pearls, and some pink gems - all from my craft stash.

The card has been finished off with faux stitching, a stamped sentiment, a paper flower with gem brad, and some gems from my craft stash.

DT CARD CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS CHALLENGE NO. 18



And my final card for today is my DT card for Creative Inspirations Challenge - a wonderful Sketch from DT member Jenni. Jenni has also brought out some lovely Digi images, check them out they are fab, and only 99p each! I have used one of Jenni's digi images called "Sweet Snowbaby", and this image was printed onto heat resistant acetate and then completely coloured in with glitter, using clear drying glue. The image was then layered on white and blue card and fixed together with Blue brads. The backing papers are all from a Basic Grey paper pad called Figgy. I made my own snowflakes using paper flowers dipped in glitter, with spacers and pearl brads. The card has been finished off with a stamped sentiment and a strip of ribbon all from my craft stash. I have used a stamp from Belles 'n Whistles called Belle with Teddy, and this has been coloured with Sakura Gel Pens and a few highlights with Twinkling H2O's. The image has been cut with a round nesty, and layered on green, blue and pink card. The backing papers are from a Basic Grey paper pad called Euphoria. My faux stitching is around all the circles and around the outside of my card too! The card has simply been finished off with a stamped sentiment.

POLLYCRAFT MONDAY CHALLENGE NO. 24


And my final card for today is for Pollycraft Monday Challenge No. 24 - a colour Challenge "Black/White and one other colour". I have used a stamp from Pollycraft called "Innocence", and this has been coloured with Sakura Gel Pens. The image has been cut with an Oval nesty, and layered on black, white and pink card. The backing paper is from a Basic Grey paper pad called Granola. A strip of pink card was also run though a Martha Stewart punch, and a strip of white ribbon added. The card has been finished off with a stamped sentiment mounted on top of a paper flower, and some tiny little pink gems have been added to the image, for added interest, and also a few more pink gems down the side of the card - all of which are from my craft stash. My second card is for Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Week 66 - a great Sketch from Domi. I have used a Penny Black stamp called "Jump Rope", and this has been coloured with Art-Kure WC brushes, and Sakura Gel pens. The flowers on the jump rope have been replaced with little paper flowers, and tiny pink gems, for added texture, and a more 3-D look. The image has been trimmed to size, and layered on cream and pale pink card, and all corners rounded with a corner punch. The two circles have been cut on my Cricut, and the backing papers are from a paper pack from My Minds Eye called Wild Asparagus. SKETCH SATURDAY CHALLENGE NO. 68




And my second card today is for Sketch Saturday Challenge No. 68. This was a great Sketch, and I did enjoy this one. I have used a Whiff of Joy stamp called "Willow with Sunhat", and she has been coloured with Sakura Gel Pens. The image has been trimmed down and layered on pink, lilac and maroon card. The backing paper is one of my favs from a Basic Grey paper pad called Eva, and to finish the card off - a stamped sentiment cut with a label nesty, some paper flowers with spacers and pearl brads, and a few little lilac gems - all from my craft stash.
