The sentiment which was also part of the FREE download has been layered on the same purple cardstock, and finally of paper flower to finish the card off. HIGH HOPES HOLLY THE WINTER FAIRY

My next card has been made for The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge No. 4 - Sketch from Donna. Once again this is a new stamp I have just received from High Hopes called "Holly the Winter Fairy". I thought she was so cute, and I could not resist buying her. She has been coloured in with my WC Brushes, and cut, and layered on pearlescent green cardstock. I had to improvise a little in getting scallops at the bottom, so I used my scalloped Rectangle Nesty, and then cut three of the sides straight, and left the fourth side with the scallops to fit in with the Sketch. For a little added interest, I have glittered the fur, and holly berries too! The main stripey backing paper has been printed from a download off a CD that came with the Crafts Beautiful magazine a couple of years ago. The plaid backing paper is from HOTP.
I have then stamped a sentiment, and layered it on red card, and finished the card off for the Sketch, with a piece of ribbon down the side of the card.
Thanks for stopping by, and please come back and visit again. Happy Crafting X

RACHELLE ANNE MILLER TEDDY BEAR

A few posts from me today, and the first one is for Friday Sketchers - Sketch No. 25 by Claudia Rosa. I have just received a delivery of some new Rachelle Anne Miller stamps, and this one is called "Teddy Bear". I have used my trusty Art-Kure WC brushes to colour the image in, and have then cut the image to size to fit into the Sketch. I have run a piece of Bubblegum Pink cardstock thru my Cuttlebug "Swiss Dots" Embossing folder, and have placed the image onto this piece of card. I have used two scraps of paper I had lying around on my table to finish off the Sketch. Sorry cannot remember where they came from, I have so many scraps lying around.
Hope you enjoyed you visit, and thanks for stopping by. Happy Crafting X

SUGAR NELLIE GIDDY UP

This card has been made for Arty Girlz Challenge No. 57 - "Blue and Orange Colour Combo". This was a lovely Challenge, as I would not normally put these two colours together. SARAH KAY TREAT YOURSELF

This is a rather late posting for me for Sarah Kay's Challenge - Week 16 "Treat Yourself". My treat to myself is probably like everyone else "Chocolate". I bought two of my favoutite chocolates, and just took their top wrappers off. I then used the wrappers as templates, and cut two different backing papers to re-cover the Choccies, and tied ribbons around them. I then used two Sarah Kay images, coloured them in with my WC brushes, and cut and layered them, using my Oval and Scalloped Oval Nesties. I punched brads through the tops. and tied them up with Organza ribbon, and made bows on each. To finish the "Treats" off, I stamped a sentiment, and also the same cardstock as the images to layer them, and placed a brad through the centre. Now that I have made them look all pretty, I can can un-wrap them, and eat them!

SUGAR NELLIES DRESS UP MAGGIE

This next card has been made for Cutie Sunday Challenge - Sketch No. 15. I have chosen Sugar Nellies "Dress Up Maggie" stamp, and she has been coloured with Art-Kure WC Brushes, and Sukura Metallic Gell pens. I do not have any templates that would give me the "8-sided" shape, so I went back to my school days, and pulled out the good old-fashioned compass, and the best I could do was this "6-sided" shape. Pretty close to the requirement on the Sketch. I am really rubbish at doing things like this freehand, I can never get the lines even enough.... The backing paper was printed from a Funky Hand Paper Collection CD, and finally added three paper flowers with brads through the centres to complete the Sketch.
Hope you enjoyed you visit to my Blog, and thanks for taking the time. Happy Crafting X

ROCK STAR

This card has been made for Kaboodle Doodles Challenge No. 8 - "Rock 'n Roll/Song Title". I had just finished colouring this image to use for another Challenge, but decided at the last minute to change what I was going to use. I then saw the Challenge for Kaboodle, and thought it would be put to better use. This was a stamp I bought at the Big Stamp Show in Sept 2008 at Alexandra Palace, and it is from a company called Dimension Fourth. The stamp did not have a name on it, so I will give it a nick-name of "Rock Star" fitting in perfectly with this Challenge. I have coloured the image with WC Brushes and Sukura Gel pens, and cut down to size. The image has then been layered on black pearlescent cardstock, and again on a Shocking Pink cardstock. The backing paper was printed from Kaboodle Doodles download called "All Stars", and this has also been layered on the shocking pink cardstock. The sentiment has been made on my PC, and layered the same as the image. For the final touch.... a paper flower, with a pearl brad through the centre.

ELZYBELLS ICE SKATER

Just a quick posting from me tonight, and this card was made for The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Challenge 2 "Sketch". I have used an Elzybells stamp called "Ice Skater", and have used my Art-Kure WC Brushes to colour the image in. This was pretty easy, as there was only one colour. I have cut the corners of my main image using a circle punch, but only putting the corner of the card in the punch. This was purely done by guess work, so my corners may not all match!! The image was then layered on pale green pearlescent cardstock. I had a piece of the green spotty paper left from another project, and have used this as my main background. I have stamped the sentiment, and also layered this on green cardstock. Through the middle of the card I have layered a piece of green ribbon onto green cardstock, and for the final touch three green buttons in the top corner.
Thanks for dropping by, and Happy Crafting X

All the papers I have used have been printed from a Summertime Designs download, called "Limeade". All the backing papers I have used are all scraps left over from other projects. I have stamped, and layered a "Thanks" sentiment, and finished the card off with a BIG Pink flower, and organza bow. Thanks for popping in, and hope you enjoyed your visit. Happy Crafting X

MELINDA HELPING ANGEL

Hello crafters, I have finally managed to get some crafting done today, after a rather manic few days. So here is my card I have made for Whiff of Joy Challenge No. 3 - Sketch by Heather. She has been coloured with Art-Kure Watercolour Brushes, and then cut to size, and layered on pale blue hammered cardstock. All the backing papers used have come from a Backing-Paper Collection called "Funky Fellas" from Funky Hand. Although the title of these papers suggests "Fellas", I have used it on a GIRLY card.
