WHIFF OF JOY CHALLENGE NO. 36
Good morning everyone, hope everyone is well, and enjoying the lovely weekend. I had such a hectic day yesterday, I didn't even have time to post anything, so here I am today, catching up again! This card for today is for Whiff of Joy Challenge No. 36 - a fab Sketch from the very talented Heather. I have used one of my old Whiff of Joy stamps from the Spring Collection called Kneeling Willow, and she has been coloured with Sukura Gel Pens. The image has been cut a label nesty and layered on pink card. Another layer was cut with the same label nesty from yellow card, and a piece of backing paper as the second layer. The backing papers are all from a Basic Grey paper pad called Eva. A little strip of pink card was also punched with a Martha Stewart. The card has been finished off with a stamped sentiment, two yellow brads, some strips of pink ribbon, paper flowers with gem brads, and a few pale pink gems , all from my craft stash. SKETCH AND STASH CHALLENGE NO. 13
Hello everyone, hope you are all well, YIPEE it's Friday, just got to get through it, and the weekend is upon us. Hope the lovely weather will hold out! I have one post today, and this is a card for Sketch and Stash Challenge No. 13, a Sketch with an option - an "Animal" theme. I have also decided to rotate the Sketch, and have used one of my new Joanna Sheen stamps from her Messy Rabbit Collection called Sir Messy. He has been coloured with Sukura Gel Pens, and his armour, and the "M's" have been covered with Glossy Accents for added texture. The image has been cut to size, and layered on green and brown card. The backing papers are from a Basic Grey paper pad called Archiac. I have again used a piece of Jute as an element of the card. The little flag at the top of the card is from Whiff of Joy, and the stamped sentiment has been cut in the shape of a shield, along with the green and brown layers. The card has been finished off with two corners punch with a paper punch, some pale blue gems, and two brass brads, all from my craft stash. PENNY BLACK SATURDAY CHALLENGE - WEEK 54
Hi crafters, hope you are all well, and enjoying the lovely sunshine we have been having over the past couple of days. It's Thursday, and almost the weekend..... I just live for the weekends, so I can craft to my hearts content with no interruptions! I have once post today, and this card is for Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Week 54 "Embossing". I have chosen a stamp from the Penny Black T-for Transparent Collection called Teddy and Company, and he has been coloured with Sukura Gel Pens. The image has been cut with an Octagonal Nesty, and layered on blue and green card. The backing paper is from a Basic Grey paper pad called Gypsy. For the Embossed element of my card, I have used a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder of a bunch of flowers, which has been embossed onto blue card, and then layered on green card too. I also ran a chalk eye inkpad over the embossing for a little more interest, but not too sure I got the effect I was looking for, more of a mess I think! FRIDAY SKETCHERS CHALLENGE NO. 57
Hi everyone, hope you are all well! I am slowly but surely getting back into the swing of things. I have one card today which is for Friday Sketchers Challenge No. 57. I have used a stamp from a Collection called Buzzcraft Fairy Doodles, and this adorable little fairy has been coloured with Sukura Gel Pens, and the wings glittered with a Quickie Glue pen and Crustal Glitter. The image has been cut to size, and layered on blue and pale yellow card. The backing papers are from a Basic Grey paper pad called Wisteria, and to finish the card off, a stamped sentiment, some fibre type Jute (no idea what you call it!), a paper flower with a pearl brad, and some pale blue gems from my craft stash. THE SUGAR BOWL CHALLENGE NO. 13
Hello everyone, hope you are all well. I am slowly starting to get back on track, but still little steps at the moment. So for now, I have one post, and this is a card for The Sugar Bowl Challenge No. 13 - another great Sketch from Lilian, but with a colour option - "kraft", and if you don't have Kraft to hand, browns and creams. Well to tell you the truth, I have never heard of Kraft, so I stuck with the browns and creams. I have used one of Sugar Nellies new stamps from Leanne Ellis called Patience, and she has been coloured with Sukura Gel Pens. I stamped the image again on Eclipse tape to make a mask of the image, and then covered the girl, and filled the background with chalks. The image was cut to the borders of the image, and layered on cream and brown card. The backing papers are from a Basic Grey paper pad called Granola, another fav of mine at the moment. The card has been finished off with a stamped sentiment, a strip of cream ribbon, a paper flower with gem brad, and some gold gems, all from my craft stash. PAPERTAKE WEEKLY CHALLENGE 16 06 09
Hi Crafters, hope you are all well, sorry I have been AWOL for a while, but I am really struggling to get back into the swing of things since I have come back from Devon. I have managed to do a few cards, and this card has been made for Papertake Weekly Challenge - Dawny's Sketch No. 17. I have used a stamp from The Greeting Farm, and this cutie is called Annika, and she has been coloured with Sukura Gel Pens. The image has been cut and layered onto lilac card with foam pads for a little extra dimension. The other layers of card are cream and maroon card. The backing papers are all from a Basic Grey paper pad called Wisteria, one of my favs. The card has been finished with a stamped sentiment and a blue spotty bow, from my craft stash. Hello crafters, hope you are all well. It's Friday, and almost the weekend! I only have one post today, and this card is for Whiff of Joy Challenge No. 35 - Paper Piecing. I have used a Whiff of Joy stamp called Confirmed Melinda, and she has been coloured with Sukura Gel pens. Her dress and little jacket have been stamped onto scraps of patterned paper and cut out, and layered over the stamped image using foam pads. The image has been cut with an Oval nesty, and layered on cream and maroon card. The backing papers and scrap papers used for the paper piecing are all from a Basic Grey paper pad called Sugared. Hello everyone, hope you are all well. It's Thursday, and almost the weekend, I can't wait! I only have one post today, and this is a card for A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge No. 56 - a fabulous Sketch from the very talented Michelle O. I have used a Sugar Nellie stamp called Purrfect Playmates, and this has been coloured with a combination of Sukura Gel Pens and Art-Kure WC Brushes. The image has been cut to size, and layered on pink and green card. The backing papers are from a Basic Grey paper pad called Porcelain. A strip of green card was also run through a Martha Stewart punch. For a little difference, I have mounted the topper onto some foam pads for a little more dimension. CUTIE SUNDAY CHALLENGENO. 46
Hello crafters, hope you are all well. and enjoying your week so far. I only have one post today, and this card is for Cutie Sunday Challenge No. 46. I have used one of my favourite stamps from Sugar Nellie's Gorjuss Girl Collection, and she has been coloured with Sukura Gel Pens. I really love using these Gel Pens because they give a lovely shimmer to the finished coloured image. The image was cut out, and layered on orange and blue card. My layers are not quite the shape of a star, but it had divisions, so I thought it would pass for the Sketch. The backing papers are from a Basic Grey paper pad called Lime Rickey. The card has been finished off with a stamped sentiment, some paper flowers with gem brads, and a few blue gems for added interest - all from my craft stash. SKETCH AND STASH CHALLENGE NO. 12
Hello everyone, hope you are all well. What a day yesterday, my first day back from holiday, and it took me THREE hours to get to work, and then driving home in that terrible storm.... think I need to go on holiday again, just to relax again! Anyway, back to my post for today, and this card is for Sketch and Stash Challenge No. 12. I have used one of my new stamps from Joanna Sheen's Lofty and Co. Collection, and this little guy is called Leaky Lofty. I just love this collection of stamps, they make me smile. DT CARD CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS CHALLENGE NO. 11
My next project is for my DT contribution to Creative Inspirations Challenge No. 11 - "Anything but a card". I have chosen to make a Desk Calendar using an Acrylic Picture Frame. I have stamped a Sugar Nellie image from the second Gorjuss Girl Collection, and this little lady is called Flower Girl. She has been coloured with Sukura Gel Pens, and then cut out and mounted with 1mm foam pads. I also ran a strip of lilac card through a Martha Stewart punch, and cut a calendar page with a deckled rectangle nesty and dusted the edges with a chalk eye ink pad to soften the edges. The backing paper is from a Basic Grey paper pad called Eva, and to finish this page off, some tiny lilac gems, a strip of ribbon, and paper flowers - all from my craft stash. Good morning everyone, hope you are all well! What lousy weather we are having, thought it was supposed to be sunny all weekend. Never mind, all the more reason to be inside crafting! I only have one post today, and this card is for The Sugar Bowl Challenge No. 12 - A Sketch from Lia, with a colour challenge -include blue and green in your design. And my next card for today is for Whiff of Joy Challenge No. 33 - Charms - use charms on your card. I have used one of the new Whiff of Joy stamps called Willow in the Summer Breeze, and she has been coloured with Sukura Gel Pens. The image has been cut with an Oval nesty, and layered on pink card. The charm I have used was a Mobile Phone charm which I bought at Accessorize a while back, and I have just taken the clip off it, and added a length of silver chain.
