TRULY SCRUMPTIOUS CHALLENGE NO. 10

And my final card for today is for Truly Scrumptious Challenge No. 10 - a great Sketch from Sharon. This Sketch had an additional challenge of using some of your neglected stash - be it some old stamps, papers or embellishments that you've forgotten you had! I have chosen to use a neglected Sugar Nellie stamp called Catch a Butterfly, and I just love her, I really should use her more often. The image has been coloured with a combination of Art-Kure WC Brushes, and Sukura Gel Pens. The image has been cut to size, and layered on lilac and grey card. The backing papers are from a Basic Grey paper pad called Wisteria. To finish the card off, I have used a stamped senitment, some paper flowers with gem brads, punch corners with a corner punch, and some lilac gems - all from my craft stash. Many thanks for dropping by, and hope you have enjoyed your visit. Happy Crafting!

THE SECRET CRAFTER SATURDAY CHALLENGE NO. 24

And, my final card for today is for The Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge No. 24 - "Favourite Colour" - any creation, but must be based on your favourite colour scheme. Well, my favourite colour is "Purple", even my car is purple!!!! I have chosen this gorgeous new stamp from Sugar Nellie, and it is called "Catch a Butterfly", and for once I decided to pull out the old Twinkling H2O's, and give them a bash. Not too sure whether I like the outcome or not.... maybe I just need a little more practice. The image has been cut to size, and layered on a pale lilac, and purple card. All their edges have been trimmed with a corner cutter, and the edges of the image card, brushed with a lilac chalk eye inkpad, just to soften the edges. The main backing paper is from a Floral download from "Making Handmade cards", and the butterfly paper is from a scrap left over from a previous project, but was orignally from a Raspberry Road download called Butterfly Dreams. I also ran two strips of purple card through a Martha Stewart "Doily" punch. I stamped a sentiment from Lili of the Valley, and cut this out with a round nesty, and layered on scraps of lilac/purple card. The card has then been finished off with two strips of lilac ribbon, a left over scrap of ribbon tied into a knot, a couple of paper flowers with gem brads, and three lilac gems in the top corner - all from my "bottomless" craft stash. Many thanks for taking the time to stop by, and hope you have a fabulous day! Happy Crafting X
