Hello everyone, hope you have all had a good Monday! Just a quick post from me this afternoon for a Monthly Challenge set by The Sugar Bowl called "Sugar Sugar - Project of the Month". And the Project for January was "Paper Beads" by Marlene. Marlene has a great Tutorial on the Blog for making Paper Beads, check it out, they are so easy to make. It was really great fun, I was having so much fun making the beads, and I ended up making two items to feature my beads. My first creation is a 2009 Calendar, where I have used Sugar Nellies "Pen Pal" for this cover of my desk Calendar. I won't bother showing you the inside, as it is just plain sheets with the individual months. The cover is the main feature, using the Paper Beads.
Creation No. 1 - 2009 Desk Calendar!
Here is a close up of the Paper Beads, using up the Scraps from the Backing Paper used on the Cover, and Back cover of the Calendar.
My second creation is just a Notebook, using the scraps of card left over from cutting the Calendar down to size. As they say "Waste-Not"! The cover has another gorgeous Sugar Nellie stamp called "Daisy".
Creation No. 2 - Notebook !
And here is a Close-up of the Paper Beads on the Notebook, again using up all the little scraps from the Project.
This was a very enjoyable Project, and I can definately see myself using these "Paper Beads" again! Doing this Project also gave me an ideal opportunity to use my "Bind-It-All" Machine which I bought ages ago, and never had the courage to use it! So that is also something I will be making more use of!
Hope I have inspired you to have a go at making these gorgeous beads! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great evening.
